Barcelona is famous for the beautiful Rambla and the magnificent Sagrada Familia. However, in the past few years, it has also become a major destination for health/fitness lovers. Why is that? First, it has the sunny climate which you can enjoy most of the year. What’s more, there are plenty of healthy food options where you can have a delicious meal with no regrets!

1. Flax & Kale

Flax & Kale is a chain of restaurants and health food stores, and it’s the only Spanish company to have received the B Corp recognition, an award for companies that pursue initiatives of sustainability, social commitment and transparency. But that is not all. In spite of being a healthy place with a majority of dishes based on vegetables, the richness and variety of the menu is incredible. Moreover, each meal is enriched with spices that makes it incredible flavorful and all kinds of fresh vegetables to create a colorful contrast that makes an explosion of flavors and colors. Yummy!

Arrived in Barcelona at the beginning of 2020, Pizza Organika is a small place in the Sant Gervasi district. It uses exclusively 100% ecological products for the pizzas and the toppings.

To illustrate how much efforts they put in the ingredients, the pizzas prepared here has zero preservatives and are made with 25 types of exclusively organic flours (some with fermentation up to 70 hours!).

5. Honest Greens

Honest Greens was born from the combined international experiences of the North American Chef Christopher Fuchs, the Danish Chef Rasmus B. and the French-born Chef Benjamin Bensoussa. As a result, the restaurant was inspired by their various cultural background and trips around the world. Equally important, they only use organic ingredients carefully selected. All the products here come from local producers and are always very fresh.

In addition, the menu offers a wide range of products and dishes to satisfy every palate. Our favorite dish is the “Warm Winter Burrata” which consists of: Hot mix of roasted seasonal vegetables, spinach, romesco sauce, mustard greens, zucchini noodles, burrata and pistachios. Exceptional!
